SRINAGAR, Jan 4 (KNO) : Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, the newly nominated PDP General Secretary Central Kashmir on Thursday received a rousing reception organized by the party workers at PDP headquarters here. Addressing the workers, Peerzada Mansoor pledged to work towards strengthening the party at grass-root level so that its vision for socio-economic development and political resolution of the State is achieved accordingly. Earlier as he arrived at the Party headquarters at 2-Circuit House Emporium Lane at Residency Road, a huge gathering of workers assembled in his honour, received him, with thundering applauds. “I thank the party leadership for reposing trust and confidence in me. I also take this opportunity to resolve my commitment to work with extra zeal and zest to implement the party agenda on the ground in letter and spirit,” he pledged during his speech. Recalling the socio-economic and political vision of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that formed the edifice of PDP in 1999, Peerzada Mansoor observed that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a sigh of relief only after the Late Mufti took over the reins of power in the state. He said that till then, the State had witnessed mayhem, loot and plunder of socio-economic and human rights of its people. “I appeal the party workers to disseminate the party agenda across length and breadth of the State so that people are benefitted in real sense. I also assure my party workers that I would be always there at the forefront for the welfare of their interests,” he remarked. Peerzada Mansoor is presently vice chairman Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Villages Board and has represented Shangus constituency in the legislative assembly also. Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, senior leader Qazi Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Khurshid Alam MLC and district president Srinagar, Abdul Hamid Kosheen, Muntazir Mohiudin, Dr Ali Mohammad, Haji Parvez Ahmad VC SRTC, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Ashraf Dar Zone president Amirakadal, Mudasir Amin Khan zone president Habba Kadal, Mohammad Shafi Kundan zone president Khanyar, Mohammad Shafi Mir zone president Sonwar and district organizing secretary Aijaz Ahmad Rather.(KNO)
